The Division of General Internal Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the tenure track. Applicants must have an M.D./Ph.D degree. Board certified/eligible in General Internal Medicine is required.

 

Teaching responsibilities may include participating in the Perelman School's outstanding educational programs at the UME, GME or post-graduate level.

 

Clinical responsibilities may include direct patient care in either the inpatient or outpatient setting with the expectation of maintaining an active clinical practice.

 

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include developing and mentoring trainees in a research program in areas of high relevance for general internal medicine, including but not limited to health services and policy research: comparative effectiveness, health economics, health equity, behavioral economics, community-based participatory research, quality improvement, clinical informatics, implementation science, epidemiology, and disease prevention.

 

The successful candidate must have an established record of independent extramural funding, high-impact publications, and a strong national/international reputation. There will be an expectation of the ability of the candidate to provide management and/or leadership. Rank will be commensurate with experience.
