Position Description

The University of Chicago's Department of Pediatrics, Section of Hospital Medicine, is seeking a part-time pediatric hospitalist at 50% effort to join our expanding Pediatric Hospital Medicine group at Comer Children's Hospital. The selected appointee will participate in quality improvement efforts through the Section of Hospital Medicine. Clinical opportunities include pediatric medicine, newborn care, ED consultation and community hospital coverage.

We welcome applicants dedicated to working as a part of a dynamic team of pediatric hospitalists. Compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) is dependent on qualifications. The position does not require teaching or scholarly activity.

UChicago Medicine Comer Children's Hospital is a free standing 165 bed children's hospital with a full complement of pediatric services.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be Board certified or eligible in General Pediatrics, and 4) have completed an ACGME-accredited pediatric residency program.
