Academic Division Chief of Hospital Medicine

Creighton University School of Medicine and CHI Health Clinic is actively seeking an experienced board certified Internal Medicine physician for a full-time opportunity as the Division Chief of Hospital Medicine. This opportunity is located at Creighton University Medical Center (CUMC) in Omaha, Nebraska.

Summary of the Position:

The Division Chief is responsible for overseeing the hospital medicine division at CUMC and participate in the development of the curriculum for our Internal Medicine Residents. The Chief will be an individual who has a passion for continued development of academic programs with the support for research and medical education. He/she will improve processes and systems that lead to the delivery of high quality care. Other responsibilities include teaching residents, students, care for patients and mentoring junior faculty.

We are also looking to add faculty with an interest in Healthcare Disparities research.

Candidate Requirements:

• MD or DO
• ABIM certification
• Experience in an Academic Hospitalist program with rank of Associate Professor or Professor of Medicine
• Scholarly activity in an academic environment
• Must be eligible to obtain licensure in the state of Nebraska
