Cleveland Clinic, one of the world’s most distinguished academic medical centers, announces a search for the Director of its Internal Medicine Residency Program. The Cleveland Clinic Internal Medicine Residency is part of Cleveland Clinic Community Care (CCCC). CCCC is a major part of Cleveland Clinic, with a team comprised of 1,600 total caregivers, 564 Physicians, 186 residents and 216 Advanced Practice Providers caring for nearly 500,000 empaneled patients
The IM Residency Program Director has responsibility, authority and accountability for the operation of the Internal Residency program, which is the largest physician training program at Cleveland Clinic and one of the largest IM Residency Programs in the nation. The new Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program will be an MD or DO who is ABIM or AOBIM certified and possesses requisite clinical, educational, and administrative experience beyond residency training.
The Program Director will report directly to the Vice Chair of Education for CCCC. Additionally, this person will play a key role with many stakeholders in the milieu of GME at the Cleveland Clinic. The IM Program Director will dedicate no less than 50% of her/his professional effort to the administrative and educational activities of the internal medicine educational program and will receive institutional support for this time. Sufficient ongoing clinical activity is also required.
