Hospitalist - MedStar Washington Hospital Center

MedStar Washington Hospital Center, the largest private teaching hospital in Washington, D.C., is seeking hospitalists and nocturnists to be part of the section of General Internal Medicine. As a hospitalist, you will provide inpatient internal medicine care within the hospital setting, including admitting patients, performing physical exams, ordering tests, diagnosing, performing hospital rounds, and planning for discharge. Facilitate coordination and development of a comprehensive and individual plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and multidisciplinary team. Coordinate family education with nursing staff, ancillary staff, and other resources. Follow all established policies for maintenance and signing of medical records. Contribute to the achievement of department goals and adhere to policies, procedures, and quality and safety standards.

*Candidates should be board-certified in Internal Medicine.
